I decided to stay a little longer in Lijiang, and went to Lugu Lake, 6 hours away by bus. I stayed there three nights and it was beautiful. The place is quite developed for tourism, but since it is the low season, there was hardly anyone there. In this area some of the minorities live, and it was great passing many small villages by bus or on foot. It was a bit chily though; some frost in the nights. I am back in Lijiang now, and will take the night bus at 20:00 back to Kunming.

Tiger Leaping Gorge

I am now in Lijiang, a lovely old town in the mountains. I got back from a three-day trek on the Tiger Leaping Gorge last night. It was awesome; it is one of the largest and longest gorges in the world, with cliffs shooting up to 3900m on both sides. I hiked along the trail with two friends and we stayed in little mountain villages along the way.

Dali

Hello, not much to say at the moment. Finally I am in some place where they have good Internet.

I climbed Emei Shan (Mt Emei) the next day again and went to the 'Golden Summit' this time. It was snowing and foggy, but still worth it. After descending, I rushed to get my train to Kunming, where I spent about 4 days, having fun at the hostel, and then three days in Dali; an amazing town. Yesterday I climbed a big mountain and today I rented a bike and drove through beautiful little villages near the lake.

I'll let the photos speak for themselves...
